“We Help People Aged 40+ to Become More Mobile And Active, Without Painkillers and Avoiding An Appointment With Their GP”
Physiotherapy at the Wimborne Clinic
Physiotherapy is the practice of analysing movement and finding ways to make it less painful or more efficient, ultimately improving your everyday life or sport performance. We love what we do and are passionate about helping people in the community get back to the activities they love.
If you’re unsure about what to do next regarding an injury or pain, a physiotherapy approach can provide answers about what’s going wrong and how long it will take to get better. We listen to your main goals and incorporate them into your treatment plan.
We genuinely want to help you. You can easily book an appointment directly in our diary. If you’re still uncertain, we have a couple of options for you to explore.

There is the question as to whether it will work, or the uncertainty if it helps your specific problem. We have heard people having bad experiences too, which can be off-putting. We have therefore created the taster session, which is a free 20 minutes session to have questions answered. Fill in the short form following the link below:
Just a quick note to say that the taster session is not a treatment session, it is an opportunity to ask questions about what we do and whether we can help you or not

No, only some insurance companies require this, but otherwise you can book with us directly, or speak so us first if you’re not sure.
What should I wear?
We want to keep your dignity intact so wear something comfortable and if possible that we can see the area that you’re pain or injury is in.
How Do I change my appointment?
Sometimes other life events get in the way and you have to change your appointment. We ask you give a minimum of 24 hours notice so that we can allocate your slot someone who needs it. If you are unable to provide 24 hours notice this may result in a charge. We sent out email and text reminders, to help keep you on track

We now have the ability to do this online at any time of day. You can also call our friendly team on (01202) 841000 who are more than happy to help organise an appointment.
How to find us
We are conveniently located in Walford Mill in Wimborne near the main High Street. There is a public car park which is available to use currently at 80p per hour. Building is next to the Nhs medical centre, so try not to end up in there by mistake!
What’s the difference to waiting for an appointment through my GP
We’ve all worked in the NHS at some point, it is difficult to balance optimising the care for the amount of patients they have, which results in the system having a lot of pressure and often long wait times.
We will take a holistic view of your problem ensuring that we utilise a range of manual therapy, electrotherapy, graded exercises and good education and understanding the problem.
